Carefully built for an experienced American Tug owner. She is well equipped and very meticulously maintained.  Powered by a Volvo 500hp common rail engine with dual controls & twin alternators, bow and stern thrusters, Tanner mast, factory custom cabinetry in teak,  Stidd helm chair, Village Marine 800-gpd watermaker, 12-foot Novurania inflatable with console and Honda 25 engine, Steelhead marine crane, Hurricane 2 hydronic heat system & Surecal water heater,  Sig Marine stainless diesel fireplace, custom maple burl tables, Buell triple air horns, and a fantastic Furuno navigation package including dual 17-inch panels and the super accurate Furuno GPS compass.  She even has a factory custom bath tub & shower.

Recent factory upgrades include a revised more open aft cockpit arrangement with teak sole, custom sunbrella & Lexan cockpit enclosure, and corner table.  Factory serviced since new, she is a very special boat.

American Tug Factory Open House - September 27 & 28

Come see the American Tug Factory & Trawler Row this weekend!



Come on up to La Conner and visit the American Tug factory. Take a factory tour and learn how are boats are built.  We are happy to answer your questions and show the build process.

• When:  Friday, September 27th & Saturday, September 28th - 10-5 daily
• Where:  800 S Pearle Jensen Way, La Conner, WA  98257 (factory is at the north basin of the La Conner Marina)
• Why:  The factory tour is interesting and will show you how well these boats are built.  Mike will be barbecuing hot dogs on Saturday at Noon. 

Take a walk down Trawler Row – our factory dock in the La Conner Marina.  We will have several late-model American Tugs on display including:

American Tugs visit Namu and Ocean Falls 2013

The American Tug Summer Expedition cruises to Namu & Ocean Falls. 

I last visited these two locations in June of 2011, boy...what a change.  Nature is taking these ghost towns back at a rapid rate.  With rainfall of approximately 170-inches the buildings begin to fail at a rapid rate once the roofs deteriorate.  Both closed over 30-years ago, and maintenance stopped.

These are still very interesting stops along the way, and shed much light on what life on the central BC coast was like in its commercial heyday.

The British Columbia central coast offers fantastic boating and endless fjords and anchorages to explore.  It is now as it was when explored by George Vancouver and Alexander Mackenzie.  Fitz Hugh Sound and its tributaries and Fjords is truly gorgeous and remains wild.

We had a great time!

A big thanks to the Hakai Pass Institute for allowing the American Tug group to explore West Beach via there beautiful trails. 

We all had a smooth rounding of Cape Caution and enjoyed Fury Island Cove and Pruth Bay.
